During your consultation, you can expect to be asked an extensive range of questions about your health and wellbeing, haircare history, hair regiment, diet, lifestyle, amongst other things. Please be prepared to answer these questions. You will also undergo a physical examination of your hair and scalp. It is recommended that your hair is loose i.e. not in braids, cornrows, weaves etc.
If your hair is not loose, the trichologist may not be able to conduct a thorough analysis. If you have to book another appointment.


Following your consultation, you can expect to receive an action plan / treatment plan and possibly referrals for further investigations. View less

More info We carefully remove the extensions that have been sewn into your hair using thread.
This involves firstly detangling the weave on hair to remove tangles and to prevent unnecessary shedding of your reusable hair. We then carefully search for the thread used to weave the hair and ensure we cut only the thread and not your hair or the weave on hair.
After cutting the thread, we gently pull away the weave on hair. Once all all weave on hair has been gently removed , we proceed to unravel the cornrows by firstly spraying your hair with water and oil to prevent unnecessary breakage from dry hair.
